Scope: This document presents relevant information and recommended minimum requirements for embedded software that supports the realization of main functions of switchgear and control equipment throughout their life cycle. This document also includes parametric requirements and the foundational requirements for a secure coding standard. If the content of this document is not covered in the product standard, this document can be used as a supplementary requirement of the product standard. This document is intended for new product development or significant improvement of existing products. This document does not include the functional safety requirements for machinery or automation control systems in GB28526, GB/T16855.1 and GB/T20438 (all parts), nor the cybersecurity risk requirements in ISO27005 and IEC62443 (all parts).
