This document specifies the classification and naming requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, labels, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage of by-product monochloroacetone. This document applies to the by-product monochloroacetone produced during the process of passing chlorine gas from acetone under normal temperature and pressure, and then obtaining trichloroacetone through secondary chlorination and distillation.
