3.5 Soil remediation uses physical, chemical and biological methods to fix, transfer, absorb and transform pollutants in the soil to reduce their content to target levels. 3.6 Agricultural restoration uses agricultural production as a technical means to reduce soil pollutants. 3.7 Assessment of remediation effects: Comprehensive assessment of whether soil remediation meets specified requirements shall be made through data analysis, on-site reconnaissance, point sampling and laboratory testing. 4 Applicable range of arsenic and cadmium content in cultivated land 4.1 Applicable to one-crop-a-year cultivated land where the surface 20cm of soil arsenic is greater than 20 mg/kg or the soil cadmium is greater than 0.30 mg/kg that needs to be repaired. 4.2 Applicable to newly reclaimed agricultural wasteland where soil arsenic exceeds 20 mg/kg or soil cadmium exceeds 0.30 mg/kg.
