Scope

This document describes a test method for the accuracy evaluation of digital equipment in computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems for indirect dental restorations. This document applies to digitizing equipment with optical or mechanical contact systems. It does not apply to handheld scanners, nor to equipment digitized by imaging methods (X-rays) and by magnetic resonance imaging methods (MRI).
