- This document specifies how to report peak fits and their results for X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. This document applies to the fitting of a single spectrum or a set of related spectra, such as those acquired during a depth profiling test. This document provides a list of parameters that should be reported for reproducible peak fitting or for fitting and comparing multiple spectra. This document does not provide operational instructions for peak fitting, nor does it provide the fitting steps that should be employed.
