Scope
This standard specifies a gas chromatographic method for the determination of organochlorine pesticides in ambient air. This standard applies to hexachlorobenzene, a-666, g-666, b-666, d-666, heptachlor, aldrin, and epoxy heptachlor B in the gas phase and particulate matter in ambient air , g-chlordane, a-chlordane, endosulfan I, 4,4¢-DDE, dieldrin, endrin, 4,4¢-DDD, 2,4¢-DDT, endosulfan II, 4 , Determination of a total of 23 organochlorine pesticides including 4¢-DDT, endrin, endosulfan sulfate, methoxyDDT, endrin and mirex. See Appendix B for details. When the sampling volume is 350 m3 (standard state) and the concentration volume is 1.0 ml, the detection limit of 23 organochlorine pesticides determined by this method is 0.02~0.06 ng/m3, and the lower limit of determination is 0.08~0.24 ng/m3. See Appendix A for details. 2
