- This document specifies the test method for measuring the spectral characteristics of a single-layer optical film using spectroscopic methods and retrieving the optical constants of the film layer. This document applies to dielectric optical films and substrates of 50nm to 5000nm. The films are made of oxides, fluorides, sulfides and other compounds. The substrates are various visible light transparent optical glasses and visible light transparent isotropic crystals.
