- This document specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of infrared oil detectors (hereinafter referred to as oil detectors). This document applies to oil detectors that use infrared spectrophotometry to measure oil content in solids, gases and water bodies. This instrument is divided into three types: laboratory, portable, and online.
