Scope

This document specifies the procedure for the evaluation of uncertainty of measurement results. An evaluation method for the uncertainty in the process of product dimension and geometric tolerance testing and verification is provided, and an application specification for optimizing the inspection and verification process according to the Uncertainty Management Program (PUMA) is given. This document is applicable to the detection and verification of geometrical features such as size, shape, direction, and position of geometrical products.
