Scope
This standard specifies a gas chromatographic method for the determination of nitrosamine compounds in water. This standard applies to N-nitrosodimethylamine, N-nitrosodiethylamine, N-nitrosodi-n-propylamine and N-nitrosodiphenylamine in surface water, groundwater, industrial wastewater and domestic sewage. Determination. When the sampling volume is 250 ml, the detection limits of this standard method are: N-nitrosodimethylamine 0.6 mg/L, N-nitrosodiethylamine 0.5 mg/L, N-nitrosodiethylamine n-propylamine 0.5 mg/L, N-nitrosodiphenylamine 0.4 mg/L; the lower limits of determination are: N-nitrosodimethylamine 2.4 mg/L, N-nitrosodiethylamine 2.0 mg/L, N-nitrosodi-n-propylamine 2.0 mg/L, N-nitrosodiphenylamine 1.6 mg/L.
