This document specifies the general requirements, design attributes, production process, performance requirements and delivery of nickel-titanium shape memory alloy orthopedic implants prepared by additive manufacturing processes. This document is applicable to nickel-titanium shape memory alloy bone implants manufactured by powder bed fusion additive manufacturing using laser as energy source. Other additive manufacturing processes or materials may be implemented as a reference.
