This document specifies the principles, reagents, instruments and equipment, sample preparation, test procedures, test data processing and tolerances for the determination of sulfate content in lithium carbonate by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry. This document is applicable to the determination of sulfate content in brine lithium carbonate and battery grade lithium carbonate. The method detection limit is 0.002%.
