Scope

This document specifies the requirements for phased array ultrasonic testing personnel, testing equipment, testing technology, testing data analysis, defect assessment and testing reports for hot melt joints of buried polyethylene pipelines for gas. This document is applicable to phased array ultrasonic testing of hot melt joints of gas polyethylene pipelines with a nominal diameter ≥75 mm and a wall thickness <40 mm.
