Scope
This European Standard specifies continuous electrolytically galvanized cold-rolled flat products of low carbon steel suitable for cold deep drawing or sheet metal forming according to Table 1, rolled steel of a width equal to or greater than 600 mm, with a thickness of 0.35 mm to 3.0 mm, supplied as coils (in rolls). ), plate, slit broadband or plate strip made of slit broadband or plate are supplied. 2 This European Standard can also be applied to electrolytically galvanized cold-rolled flat products of: a) steel grades according to EN 10139 (cold-rolled narrow strip in roll widths less than 600 mm), b) other low carbon steel grades suitable for cold deep drawing or sheet metal bending and c) steel grades which are normally characterized by minimum values for the yield point with additional requirements for ductility, for example:  ——steels with a high yield point and improved ductility according to EURONORM 149 part 4 or other microalloyed steels, - phosphorus-alloyed steels and bake- hardening steels, - construction steels for general use. 3 When ordering, it can be agreed that this European standard can also be applied to continuously electrolytically galvanized hot-rolled flat products (for example according to EN 10025, EURONORM 111, EURONORM 149 Part 1 to Part 3, etc.). 4 The mass of the covering, the surface quality and the aspect are given in 5.9, 5.11 and table 2. Since the mass of the zinc layer is relatively small, the products are not intended for outdoor use without further chemical treatment and painting. 5 This European Standard does not apply to:  ——continuously hot-dip galvanized sheet and strip (see EN 10142 and EN 10147);  ——organically coated flat steel products (see EN 10169)).
