This document specifies the principles, reagents, instruments and equipment, sample preparation, test procedures, test data processing and tolerances for the determination of calcium and iron contents in sodium hydroxide by inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry. This document is applicable to the determination of calcium content and iron content in solid sodium hydroxide. The detection limit of the calcium content method is 0.00005% and the detection limit of the iron content method is 0.00015%.
