- This standard specifies the gas chromatography method for determination of terephthalic acid migration in plastic packaging materials and products in contact with food and the positive verification method of GC-MS. This standard is applicable to the determination and verification of terephthalic acid migration in plastic packaging materials and products in contact with food. The detection limit of terephthalic acid in food simulants by this method is 0.8 mg/kg (mg/L).
