This document specifies the technical points and contraindications for epidural anesthesia in dogs and cats. This document is applicable to animal diagnosis and treatment institutions and their medical staff providing local anesthesia and analgesia for epidural anesthesia operations for dogs and cats undergoing postdiaphragmatic surgery. Note: Retrodiaphragmatic surgery refers to pelvis, hindlimb, perineum, tail and abdominal surgery, etc.
