7.3 Insulation 7.3.1 The insulation should be a mixture of weather-resistant polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene and cross-linked polyethylene as base materials. 7.3.2 The insulation should be tightly packed on the conductor, and the insulation surface should be smooth and uniform in color. 7.3.3 The nominal thickness of the insulation shall comply with the provisions of Table 3. The average thickness of the insulation layer shall not be less than the nominal value, and the thickness of the thinnest part shall not be less than 90%-0.1mm of the nominal value.
