- Scope
- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, labels, packaging, transportation and storage of ordinary protective masks (hereinafter referred to as masks). This standard applies to protective masks worn in daily life to filter out pollen, catkins, bacterial particles and block pollutants exhaled or sprayed from the nasal or oral cavity. This standard applies to general protective masks such as disposable flat masks, gauze masks, and fashion masks. This standard does not apply to respiratory protective equipment for special industries such as hypoxic environments, underwater operations, escape, firefighting, medical and industrial industries, and does not apply to respiratory protective equipment for infants and young children.
