This part specifies the structural dimensions, technical requirements, test items and test methods as well as packaging, transportation and storage of air-blown optical fiber composite low-voltage cable (hereinafter referred to as: BOPLC) with a rated voltage of 0.6/1kV (Um=1.2kV). This section applies to cables for smart grids with optical fiber access and multi-network convergence distribution networks. Excludes cables used in special installation and operating conditions, such as for overhead lines, the mining industry, nuclear power plants (in and near containments), and for use in underwater or shipboard locations.
