Scope
This part of GB/T20996 gives comprehensive guidelines for the steady-state performance of high-voltage DC systems, involving the use of three-phase bridge (dual-circuit) connections to form both ends of a 12-pulse (moving) converter unit (see Figure 1) Steady-state performance of HVDC systems, excluding multi-terminal HVDC transmission systems. The converter stations at both ends are considering using thyristor valves as semiconductor converter valves, which have bidirectional power transmission capabilities. Diode valves are not considered in this section. Description: 1——Valve side winding of transformer. Figure 112 Pulse (moving) converter unit This part only covers grid commutation converters, including converters with capacitor commutation circuit structure. General aspects of grid-commutated semiconductor converters are given in IEC60146-1-1, IECTR60146-1-2 and IEC60146-1-31). Voltage source converters are not considered in this section. There is a difference between system performance specifications and equipment design specifications for individual components in the system. This section does not specify equipment specifications and test requirements, nor does it include detailed seismic performance requirements. In addition, there may be many differences between different HVDC systems, and these details are not considered in this section. Therefore, this section should not be used directly as technical specifications for specific engineering projects. However, it can be used as a basis for the preparation of technical specifications for specific transmission systems that meet actual system requirements. This section covers steady-state performance, IECTR60919-2 faults and operation and IECTR60919-3 dynamic performance. There are separate documents. When compiling specifications for high-voltage DC systems at both ends, the three parts are considered together.
