Mechanical structures for electronic equipment—Tests for metric and inch system—Part 3: Electromagnetic shielding performance tests for cabinets and subracks (English Version)

Scope: This part of GB/T18663 specifies the electromagnetic shielding performance test of empty cabinets and subracks in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 3000 MHz, and specifies the shielding performance of IEC60297 (all parts) and IEC60917 (all parts) series cabinets and subracks. The level specifies the attenuation value selected. The shielding performance level is selected according to the requirements of typical fields in industrial applications and supports this measurement to achieve electromagnetic compatibility, but it cannot replace the final compliance test of the enclosure containing the equipment. The purpose of this section is to ensure the physical integrity and environmental performance of cabinets and subracks, taking into account the needs of different performance levels in different applications, and aims to give users confidence in choosing product levels to meet their specific needs. This section applies only in whole or in part to empty enclosures, such as cabinets and subracks in compliance with IEC 60297 (all parts) and IEC 60917 (all parts), and does not apply to enclosures after electronic equipment is installed. Enclosures can be tested in the same way as subracks, and enclosures can be tested in the same way as cabinets. This part is closely related to IEC 61000 5.7, but pays special attention to cabinets and subracks and the determination of performance levels in the selected frequency range.
