This document specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and accompanying documents, packaging, transportation and storage of sodium bromide, a by-product of bromination reaction (production of brominated polystyrene and tetrabromophthalic anhydride). This document is applicable to the hydrogen bromide gas or hydrobromic acid produced when the bromination reaction occurs in the production of brominated polystyrene and tetrabromophthalic anhydride. After being absorbed or neutralized by alkali liquid, it is adsorbed, filtered, crystallized and pumped by activated carbon. The sodium bromide obtained by filtering and drying is only used for industrial production.
