- This document specifies the principles, instruments and equipment, reagents and materials, sampling, test procedures, test data processing, precision and test reports for the determination of polychlorinated naphthalene content in coatings and related materials using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. This document is applicable to the determination of polychlorinated naphthalene content in coatings and related materials, including but not limited to the polychlorinated naphthalenes listed in Table A.1 in Appendix A.
