- This standard specifies the method for measuring the energy efficiency of elevator operation. This standard is applicable to a single machine room vertical traction elevator that is in use and operating normally on site. Machine room vertical traction elevators that operate independently in a group control environment can also be used as a reference. This standard does not apply to elevators with special safety requirements and used in special occasions.
