This standard stipulates the competency standards and competency evaluation outline, competency level certificates and validity period for personnel engaged in drone inspection operations in the power industry. This standard is also the competency standard that training personnel for drone inspection operations should meet. This standard is applicable to the evaluation of competency standards and competency levels of personnel who use rotary-wing UAVs and fixed-wing UAVs to carry out inspections of overhead power transmission lines, overhead distribution lines and primary substation equipment.
