- This document specifies the terms and definitions, basic requirements, composition, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage and quality commitment of non-electrically driven disposable portable infusion pumps (hereinafter referred to as infusion pumps) . This document applies to infusion pumps with continuous delivery, with or without autonomous control of delivery. This document does not apply to: a) Electrically driven or electrically controlled infusion pumps covered by IEC 60601-2-24; b) Implantable devices; c) Enteral feeding pumps; d) Transcutaneous fluid administration devices; e) Infusion power is not provided by the device itself, but is powered by the patient's active intervention (for example, a device that relies only on gravity as power).
