What is ISO 20163 – Vulcanized rubber about?
ISO 20163 specifies chromatographic methods for the determination of the inorganic free sulphur (Sx) not consumed during the vulcanization of the rubber. This method is used primarily to compare the free sulphur content in different samples.
Note 1: In ISO 20163 , “free sulphur” is used instead of “inorganic free sulphur”.
Note 2: The residual curing agent containing sulphur is not concerned by this measure.
Who is ISO 20163 – Vulcanized rubber for?
ISO 20163 on vulcanized rubber is relevant to:
Manufacturers of vulcanized rubber
Chemical engineers
Researchers and scientists
Any entity responsible for testing and quality of vulcanized rubber
Why should you use ISO 20163 – Vulcanized rubber ?
Vulcanized rubber is any rubber that's been hardened through heat and sulphur. It's created through a curing process during which the rubber's elastomers harden in res...
