This standard specifies the principle, device, sample preparation, test conditions, result calculation, measurement uncertainty, and test report of the room temperature tensile test method for Cu/Nb3Sn composite superconducting wire after reaction. This test method is used to measure the elastic modulus and specify the plastic extension strength (resulting from yielding of the copper and copper-tin components of the composite) from the stress-strain curve. In addition, the elastic limit, tensile strength, and elongation after break can be measured by this method. According to the international cyclic comparison test report, the measurement of elastic limit and elongation after fracture has a large uncertainty. Therefore, these physical quantities are optional measurements. This standard is suitable for measuring circular or rectangular cross-section non-insulating cladding samples with a cross-sectional area of 0.15mm2~2.0mm2 and a copper-to-non-copper volume ratio between 0.2~1.5.
