Scope
This standard specifies a headspace/gas chromatography method for the determination of total dithiocarbamate (salt) pesticides in soil and sediments. This standard is applicable to the determination of the total amount of dithiocarbamate (salt) pesticides in soil and sediments, measured as mancozeb or carbon disulfide. This standard does not apply to the determination of soil and sediment samples containing hydrocarbyl xanthogens and their salts. When the sampling amount is 2g, when measured with mancozeb, the detection limit of the method is 0.05 mg/kg, and the lower limit of determination is 0.20 mg/kg; when measured with carbon disulfide, the detection limit of the method is 0.03 mg/kg, and the lower limit of determination is 0.12 mg. /kg.
