This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for fully enclosed motor-compressors for refrigerators. For the safety requirements of compressors, see GB 4706.17 "Safety Motors for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances - Special Requirements for Compressors". This standard applies to fully enclosed motor-compressors (which are used in low-back-pressure type* household and similar-purpose electric refrigeration appliances with refrigerants R600a and R134a and whose nominal cooling capacity does not exceed 400W under the working conditions specified in this standard) ( Hereinafter referred to as compressor). The refrigerant can be used as a reference for other types of similar compressors. This standard does not apply to vehicle refrigerator compressors.
