Scope

This procedure is formulated in order to standardize the non-destructive testing methods and procedures for the butt welds of composite steel plates and U-rib T-joint welds of bridge decks and ensure the quality of testing. This procedure is applicable to the non-destructive testing of composite steel plate bridge deck welds composed of stainless steel, carbon steel, and low alloy steel, including butt welds of composite steel plates and non-penetration butt welds of U-rib and panel T-shaped joints.
