Scope

This standard specifies the high performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of maleic acid and maleic anhydride in starch. This standard is applicable to the determination of maleic acid and maleic anhydride in corn starch, potato starch, and mung bean starch. Maleic anhydride is calculated as maleic acid.
