This document specifies the basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and quality commitments for off-board charger electric energy meters (hereinafter referred to as electric energy meters). This document applies to electric energy meters installed in off-board chargers, including shunts and other electronic DC energy measurement equipment, used to measure the electric energy charged by electric vehicles. All special functional units other than the electric energy measurement function can be integrated into the electric energy meter or formed into separate modules.
