Scope
This standard specifies the detection methods and quality grading requirements for the use of A-type pulse reflection ultrasonic detectors to detect workpiece defects on the circumferential butt joints of the flow meter annular chamber. This standard is applicable to welded joints that meet the following conditions: a) The base material is low carbon steel or low alloy steel; b) Circumferential butt joints with full penetration structure; c) When the weld is made of ferrite, it is applicable Workpiece thickness t: 6mm ≤ t ≤ 150mm, and the workpiece thickness on both sides of the weld is the same; when the weld contains austenite components, the applicable workpiece thickness t: 10mm ≤ t ≤ 80mm, and the workpiece thickness on both sides of the weld is the same; d) Outer diameter D0:D0≥159mm. 1.3 Ultrasonic testing of other butt joints of flow meters can also be implemented with reference to this standard.
