Scope: This document specifies the product classification, grading and compliance, technical requirements, information, general signs and symbols, inspection rules, packaging, storage and transportation of installed digital display power meters and reactive power meters. This document is applicable to installed digital display wattmeters and reactive wattmeters for measuring power in newly manufactured power distribution systems below 750V DC and 690V AC and with a nominal frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz. The power meter with digital dual display and the digital display part of the reactive power meter. This document does not apply to: --- power meters and reactive power meters with direct analog indication only; --- portable digital display power meters and reactive power meters; --- other national standards (or industry standards) ) special-purpose power meters and reactive power meters. Note: "Instrument" in this document refers to digital display power meter and digital display reactive power meter.
