Scope
This document includes a description of the concepts, techniques, and limitations of the finite element method, and provides recommendations for modeling wireless communications equipment by specifying models and procedures for validation and uncertainty assessment of the finite element method when used to determine spatial peak specific absorption rates. and guidance, and provide baseline data for synthetic SAR in such models and programs. This document does not recommend specific SAR limits. This document applies to a mathematical model for the determination of spatially averaged peak specific absorption rate (SAR) using finite element simulations of electromagnetic field conditions generated by wireless communication devices in a human anatomical model.
