Scope
This Recommendation provides guidelines on the provision of satellite-provided remote sensing data in the event of different phases of disaster management: pre-disaster (mitigation@ or measures taken to reduce damage@ disruption and casualties; preparation@ or measures enabling a rapid response to disasters; and prevention@ or avoiding adverse impacts of hazards and related disasters)@ during the disaster (detection of a disaster and the immediate response in the form of emergency services and assistance)@ and post-disaster (recovery from the immediate effects of the disaster and the long term rehabilitation and restoration to near pre-disaster conditions). This Recommendation does not provide information on dissemination of data
