- This document specifies the terms, definitions and principles for the determination of five forms of selenium in agricultural products by high-performance liquid chromatography-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, and specifies its reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, sample preparation, analysis and determination, result calculation and Presentation and precision. This document is applicable to the determination of the selenium content of the five selenium forms in agricultural products: selenite ion, selenate ion, selenocystine, L-selenium-methylselenocysteine and selenomethionine. The method limits of quantification for selenite ion, selenate ion, selenocystine, L-selenium-methylselenocysteine and selenomethionine in this document are all 0.005 mg/kg.
