This standard specifies the determination method of total pollutant content in middle distillate oil, diesel oil with fatty acid methyl ester volume fraction not more than 30% and pure fatty acid methyl ester (BD100). This standard is applicable to samples whose kinematic viscosity is not greater than 8 mm2/s at 20 °C, or not greater than 5 mm2/s at 40 °C, such as diesel oil and pure fatty acid methyl ester (BD100). This standard is applicable to samples with a total pollutant content of 12 mg/kg~30 mg/kg, and the precision is specified; it is also applicable to samples with a total pollutant content beyond this range, but the precision is not specified. This standard can also be used to determine diesel oil with a volume fraction of fatty acid methyl ester greater than 30% and products with a kinematic viscosity exceeding the above range, but the precision of the method has not been determined.
