Scope

This standard specifies the ultrasonic automatic detection method for the rim (or hoop), rim, and spokes of rail transit vehicle wheels. This standard is applicable to the ultrasonic testing of wheels on EMUs, locomotives, passenger cars, and subway rail transit vehicles during the use phase. Ultrasonic testing of new wheelsets can refer to this standard.
