This standard specifies the flame atomic absorption spectrophotometric method for the determination of chromium in water. This standard is applicable to the determination of high concentrations of soluble chromium and total chromium in water and wastewater. When the sampling volume is the same as the fixed volume after sample preparation, the detection limit of chromium determined by this method is 0.03 mg/L, and the lower detection limit is 0.12 mg/L.
