This standard specifies the technical requirements, test inspection, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of radio wave (radar) current meters (referred to as "radio wave current meters"). This standard is applicable to the production and manufacture of radio current meters that use the Doppler frequency shift principle to measure the flow velocity at fixed points on the water surface. It is not applicable to current measuring instruments such as high-frequency radar and ground wave radar in the VHF or UHF bands.
