- This document specifies the classification and names of energy efficiency assessment methods for industrial furnaces and their associated process equipment (TPE), including energy efficiency in terms of enthalpy. This document does not apply to the following TPE types: --- blast furnaces, basic oxidation furnaces, coke ovens; --- furnaces whose gas is used as fuel (including by-product gases); --- special gas generators; --- - industrial furnaces designed for chemical plants or petroleum plants; - facilities for heating or burning in the open air; - devices for burning solid fuels; - waste incinerators.
