Scope

This standard specifies the enzyme substrate method for the determination of total coliforms, fecal coliforms and Escherichia coli in water. This standard is applicable to the determination of total coliforms, fecal coliforms and Escherichia coli in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. The detection limit of this method is 10 MPN/L.
