Scope

This standard specifies the gas-liquid separation and collection spectrophotometric method for the determination of ammonia nitrogen in water. This standard is applicable to the determination of ammonia nitrogen in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. When the water sample volume is 50mL and a 20mm cuvette is used, the detection limit of this method is 0.04mg/L and the lower determination limit is 0.16mg/L (both in N).
