This document specifies the basic safety requirements, safety and health requirements, test methods, usage information and result reports for robot systems in the food field (hereinafter referred to as "robot systems"). This document applies to robot systems for food processing, food packaging, and food distribution. Typical applications of robot systems in the food field are shown in Appendix A. This document does not apply to direct contact processing of pharmaceuticals. Robotic systems for pharmaceutical packaging and pharmaceutical distribution shall be implemented with reference to this standard.
