- This standard specifies the gas chromatography method for the determination of migration of caprolactam and caprolactam salts in plastic packaging materials and products in contact with food. This standard is applicable to the determination and verification of the migration amount of caprolactam and caprolactam salts in plastic packaging materials and products in contact with food. The detection limit of caprolactam in food simulants by this method is 5.0 mg/kg (mg/L), and the caprolactam salt is measured in caprolactam.
