Scope

This part of GB/T 22638 specifies the method for measuring the thickness of aluminum foil. The gravimetric method specified in this section is applicable to the arbitration determination of the thickness of non-composite foils with a thickness of less than 0.10 mm. The vertical optical meter method specified in this section is applicable to the arbitration determination of the thickness of composite foils with a thickness of less than 0.10 mm. The digital display micrometer method specified in this part is applicable to the arbitration determination of the thickness of aluminum foil with a thickness not less than 0.10 mm.
