- Scope
- This standard specifies a method for determining the content of a two-component mixture of polyacrylonitrile fiber and cotton fiber after removing non-fiber substances using the formic acid/zinc chloride method. If there is some modified polyacrylonitrile fiber in the sample, it should be tested in advance whether it is soluble in the reagent. This standard does not apply to mixtures where cotton fibers have been subjected to severe chemical degradation.
